The Twenty Point Programme is a monitoring mechanism which covers various socio-economic aspects like poverty eradication, employment, education, housing, health, agriculture, land reforms, irrigation, drinking water, protection and empowerment of weaker sections, consumer protection, environment, e-governance, etc.
The restructured TPP-2006 consists of 20 points and 65 monitorable items which varies from State to State and from year to year.
Planning Department, Himachal Pradesh has been declared as a nodal department for coordination, review, monitoring and reporting of quarterly / annual progress reports of Twenty Point Programme-2006 (TPP-2006) since 2007.
District Planning, Development and 20 Point Programme Review Committees headed by the Chief Minister/Minister/MLA of all the districts at district level review the progress of TPP in their quarterly review meetings. At the State level, the progress of TPP is reviewed in the various meetings held under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary (Planning) and Adviser (Planning), HP.
