Even though NITI Aayog, Government of India has discontinued the process of formulation of Five Year / Annual Plans, the role of Planning cannot be undermined as it is essential for mobilizing, optimally allocating the available resources and monitoring of the programmes in the developmental process to meet the social as well as economic obligations of the State. The Plan Formulation division deals with plan part of the State Budget. The division formulates annual plan by convening meetings with different departments/ stakeholders. During this exercise, the division formulates and finalizes plan size of different departments by ensuring required proportion of outlays under Tribal Sub-Plan, Backward Area Sub-Plan and Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan.
