HP State Innovation Award Scheme

HP State Innovation Award Scheme was started in 2014-15 to recognize and encourage local & creative talent by providing financial incentives for the best innovation practices being adopted by them at sectoral levels. The scheme identifies & recognizes innovative projects which were undertaken by an individual/department/institute and are further replicable at an economic cost with a view to motivate other departments to initiate such practices.

Under this scheme, nine sectors have been identified each with a specific Nodal Department. Sectoral proposals are scrutinized & recommended for award through sectoral committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Administrative Secretary of Nodal Department. At present, each winner is awarded with individual award of Rs 31000/- & memento with Rs 2.00 lakh to concerned department/institute as financial incentives for promotion & replication of such innovative ideas. However, the State Innovation Council is free to alter the amount of award money. Following are the sectors with concerned Nodal Departments:
